UU Resident Mentorship
At Urology Unbound, we're committed to supporting the next generation of underrepresented minority urologists, including our resident members. We understand the challenges that Black and other underrepresented residents face, including high attrition rates in surgical and surgical subspecialties like urology. That's why we've developed a mentorship program specifically designed to help underrepresented trainees succeed.
Provides a Range of Support
Our mentorship program provides a range of support to resident members, including guidance on how to solicit early feedback, address academic disciplinary issues, and develop strategies for dealing with biased treatment. We believe that with the right support and guidance, underrepresented trainees can thrive and achieve their goals.
Town Hall meetings
In addition, our mentorship program offers quarterly virtual resident Town Hall meetings, providing a safe space for minority residents to connect with minority urologists and develop a sense of community. These meetings offer opportunities for problem-solving, networking, and mentorship, all in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Supporting the Next Generation
At Urology Unbound, we're dedicated to increasing the retention of underrepresented urologist trainees and supporting the next generation of diverse urology professionals. Join us and let us help you achieve your goals.
